protesters are calling today a day of departure for president mubarak. large crowds have gathered, demanding his departure. for the most part, protests were peaceful. >> the mood has been a joyous, people were welcoming to all of the foreigners who were there including foreign journalists, a very different atmosphere that we have seen. there was intense security. i must've gone through nine different checkpoints set up by the army and the protesters themselves. they are still putting pressure on mubarak. the anti-mubarak protesters had their shields are ready in the square. i saw many wearing construction helmets. but they did not show up today. had they arrived, in any case,

and tremayne johnson, facing a animal cruelty charges in may 2009. phoenix ended up dying two days later. the brothers said they did not do it. a key piece of evidence is a surveillance video in the area of the burning and does not clearly show the teenager's burning the dog. the prosecutors say they saw the brothers in the alley, and the officer said he has been watching the twins four years and knows their mannerisms. we are continuing to wait here to see what the jury does in this case. we will have much more at 5:00 and at 6:00. >> thank you, george. we will bring you the verdict as soon as it becomes available. a grand jury has indicted a man who was arrested after a car crash uncovered a massive

marijuana growing operation. he faces several charges. a first responders discovered the marijuana plants after a car crashed into his home last december. a 27-year-old man is charged with sexually abusing a young girl. police arrested him, who they say abuse to crawl back in october. he is now a charge with rape, assault, and abuse of a minor child. he is being held without bond. >> this winter has been up and down as far as the weather is concerned. we are kind of bouquet to date. we are headed down as the new storm approaches. the clouds are drifting over had this morning and early this afternoon. they are thin clouds. down the south, mostly in the carolinas and in tennessee, it

here is the satellites radar imagery. here is the high pressure that is suppressing the rain showers at the moment. here is the developing storm in the gulf coast region. it is going to develop and, the coast. it will be close enough that we will have some warm air as well as some cold air trying to pull in from the west. we all right on the edge. some will get rain showers, and there is likely to be a freezing rain in some areas. they are getting some ice during the noon hour in parts of arkansas and louisiana and into parts of mississippi as well. of course, we have all heard about the snow in the dallas area in the past 24 hours. for us, it has been fairly quiet so far. seasonably cold, 38 degrees to

41 degrees. it is pretty close. southwest winds at the thought must power to 10 miles per hour. some areas of freezing rain showers tonight -- southwest winds at 5 miles per hour to 10 miles per hour. the winds will be fairly calm tonight. we will be cloudy for a while but by the time we get to midnight, we will be involved with some rainshowers. then we begin to see some freezing rain mixed in with that. it does not look too serious right here. that is what we are saying areas of freezing rain. saturday, the rain showers start to pull out of the picture. sunday, it looks like a good day but it will be colder. on monday, elements of the next door will begin to come into the area.
